Kapong

Originally, Kapong District was a small village in the city of Takola (The present forest is Amphoe Takua Pa) with a river flowing through the village flowing into the Indian Ocean. In ancient times, Indians brought junk to trade with this village of Kapong regularly. The two banks of the river are fertile together with suitable areas for livelihood. ? Baan Chang Chuea Community

?  Thep Naraiporn Museum, Narainikaram Temple

It is a place where collected many antiques and this place is located the mock of Vishnu and Lakshmana statue. The real statues are located at the national museum, Talang District. Phuket. Moreover in this museum also has a stone inscription which is 1,300-1,400 year olds.

This stone inscription was found at the top of Leang Mountain, it has been kept at a temple. These antiques show a significance of “Ta Go La” History that was the old name of Takua Pa city where traded with India then Hindu and Indian culture passed into this region in the ancient times.

? Baan Pak Phu Hot Spring

Natural hot spring water which flows like a rill, it comes from a water source at the top of mountain and join Kra Pong canal, 9 kilometers totally far. The unique of this hot spring is a combination of hot and cold water in the same stream. There is cold water on the left side and hot water on the right. The hottest spot may heat up to 75 degrees Celsius. To serve the tourists who use this hot spring, 12 rai (19.200 square meters) around the stream was setting by stone and sand bag. Some spots are hot as its can boiled eggs. We may see same folks boil eggs by believing that minerals in the hot spring are good for their health.

? Phu Ta Jor Mountain View

 It is the mountain that located in Plai Tho-Sok national forest. It was an old ore mine that high 1,400 meters above the sea level so this is the highest mountain in Phang Nga. A 4 wheel drive power car is needed for travelling thus the path is quite crooked, sloping, and it is a soiled road. An abundant mountain top view with 360 degrees around has nice weather. ? Sea of mist at Talay Mok Phu Ta Jor
