The district covers several islands of the Koh Yao archipelago in Phang Nga Bay, near the island of Phuket. The two main islands are named Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi (‘big long island’ and ‘small long island’). The northern tips of the islands are part of Ao Phang Nga National Park.

Koh Yao Noi is located in the southern part of Phang Nga Bay, between the three provinces of Phuket – Phang Nga – Krabi. In the middle of the island, there is a long stretch cordillera to the south. ? Baan Tha Khao Community Home Stay

Baan Tha Khao is located at Moo 4, Koh Yao Noi, in addition to farming which is the original career of local people. The villagers also set up homestays for tourists. In addition, the community also created the product of the community to use as a tourist activity. The highlight of this is a batik that also has the demonstration and teaching to tourists to draw batik by themselves and bring back as a souvenir.

? Khlong Son Beach Koh Yao Yai Sub-District

Klong Son Beach is a peaceful and natural beach which suitable for swimming. Nearby, there is a community of Ya Mhee that is not far away. The villagers career agricultural farming including rubber plantation and coconut plantation according to a 3,000 rai area and another great activity is the canoeing on the small canal in this mangrove forest.

? Loh jark Pier, Phrunai Sub-District

Loh Jark Pier is the main pier of Koh Yao, it connect between Koh Yao Yai and Phuket Island. It’s biggest pier of Koh Yao Yai. It have ferry service for Phuket to Koh Yao Yai next from the pier it have a beach with more forest. You can see Koh Phuket if that day have a nice weather.

? Manoh Pier

This pier is connect between Koh Yao Noi to many pier in mainland such as Phuket (Bangrong Pier) Krabi (Ao Tha Lane Pier) or Phang Nga (Tha Dan Pier). It have long-tail boat and speed boat and this is the main connection point between Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai. You can go by long-tail boat about 5-10 minutes.

? Loh Pared Beach

It is a beach on the west coast of Koh Yao Yai. The beach is a long white sand beach which had 1.5 km. that locates faced to Phuket Island. The beach is shady according to coconut garden and north of the bay is the cape which composes of beautiful rocks. Loh Pared Beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing also sunbathing on the beach. Near the beach, there are restaurants and hotels available to serve tourists.

? Pa Sai Beach

It is a white sand beach on the east side of Koh Yao Noi that long over 2 km and away from Koh Yao District Office on Koh Yao Noi Island about 7 kilometers. Around the beach, there are shady trees along with the beach include mangroves and beefwood trees that are good for preventing sunscreen. The highlight of this beach is swimming with the beautiful scenery of the islands in Krabi province as a background.

? Tha Khao Beach

It is located at the west of Koh Yao Noi. This beach is including sand and stone. You can go district office by 5 km.

The highlight here is the colorful rocks on the beach. Not far from the coast. There is a small island called the villagers called “Nok Island”, which can walk from the beach to the island at low tide. On the island of birds may see a variety of wildlife and orchids

? Khlong Son Beach

Located on the west of Koh Yao Yai. The beach is in the bay facing south. The white sand beach is about 1 km. White sandy beach stretching to the sea. Quiet atmosphere suitable for relaxing on the beach.

? Sai Bay

Sai Bay is located in south east of Yao Yai Island full of white sand. There are reefs in front of the beach and shady trees behind the beach Sai Bay is one of peaceful spots in Yao Yai Island which is suitable swimming and sunbathing.? Laan Bay

The beach is on Koh Yao Yai, but it may not be accessible from the mainland. Most tourists will take a boat from the Manor pier to the area. It is a beautiful beach to play water. North of the cape is a steep cliff and the water is quite deep.

? Hin Kong Bay

It located at the west of Koh Yao Yai, it have Koh Phuket and Koh Rungnok background of a view. The beach more forest it suitable for rest. You can swimming or playing around here. At the beach it have jetty for fishing boat. You can ride a bicycle for visit scenic point and many hotel around there.

? Nok-Ok Cape

Located on Koh Yao Yai on the east side facing Krabi. The sandy beach is golden yellow with a strange rock. Next to a large wooden dense masses parallel to the beach. The beach is open all year round. Suitable for sleeping, relaxing, sunbathing because it is peaceful, not crowded. It has beautiful views of the Krabi Sea as a background.? Kai Nok Island

A small island in the middle of the sea, surrounded by long sandy beaches, stretching to the west of the island. In the middle of the island there is a small hill covered with dense trees.

Near the beach, there is a restaurant and souvenir shop. Khai Nok Island is ideal for swimming, beach, sunbathing and snorkeling, coral reefs and coastal fish. Around here more fish even in the shallow waters of the beach.

? Kai Nai Island

The small island looks like a sand dunes that connect the rocks in the sea together. So with the beauty of the crystal clear sea water with the white sand of the island. It is popular with many tourists. The rocks on the island are beautiful. Like three turtles. Elephant head. In the sea between the rocks, there are many beautiful coral reefs.

Tourists can swim and snorkel around the island. Have fun at the sun loungers. On the island there are restaurants and small shops to serve tourists.
